As it goes every Wednesday at 5 – 10p, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History invites you to Think & Drink with the Extinct. Visit the dinosaurs for some mid-week recreation. Gather up your friends or bring a date to experience the Museum after hours with light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Enjoy the observatory if it’s a clear night or see the stars during a show in the Shafran Planetarium. Don’t miss the blockbuster exhibition, Nature’s Mating Games: Beyond the Birds & the Bees while you’re there.
The Cleveland Drink and Draw Social Club will be meeting at Lava Lounge in Tremont. This is open to artists and drinkers of all skill levels, but it is first and foremost a social club and therefore open to any of Cleveland’s creatives. Visual artist or not, the event is a celebration of all facets of the local arts culture. The meet up is free and sponsored by Carol and John’s comic shop. Comics will be given away for the best drawings.
The Beck Center for the Arts will be performing Carrie: The Musical, with shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel, the musical version of Carrie hasn’t been seen on stage since its legendary 1988 Broadway production. The show’s original writer and the Academy Award-winning team of Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford have reworked and re-imagined this haunting tale.
It’s the third Friday of the month which means the 78th Street Studios are open to the public for free! What makes that even better is Superelectric Pinball Parlor will be open from 5 – 11p allowing you to check out all their pinball machines! For free!
