GeekCLE Trivia: ACLU & The Okra Project Fundraiser

Back for one night, Cleveland’s award-winning geeky trivia is raising money for the ACLU and The Okra Project.

Hi friends, we really missed you the past few years!

At the heart of the reasons GeekCLE was created, was the idea of inclusion, love, and respect for other humans. We love our neighbors and our city, so GeekCLE is hosting a Trivia night to support the ACLU and The Okra Project. This is a critical moment for our country and your donation will support the most vulnerable in our society.

Slightly differing from the typical GeekCLE format, registration requires a minimum $5 donation per person.
This event is 100% remote, and will be hosted through Zoom.

Join us remotely on Sunday, June 14th at 7pm for GeekCLE Trivia

How to register.

  1. Make a minimum $5 donation per person to the ACLU or The Okra Project. Save your receipt or screenshot. When registering you will need to show proof of donation.

    1. Donate to the GeekCLE ACLU campaign

    2. Donate to The Okra Project

  2. Register here.

  3. Once verified, you will be added to the Zoom meeting and an email will be sent to you with the link.

What to expect.

  1. Trivia will begin at 7pm, so be sure to join a little early.

  2. There will be six categories and five rounds, which will include verbal, video/audio, and image based questions on anything relating to pop culture, literature, and science. It will be weird, and it will get increasingly difficult.

  3. You be sent a link each round to fill in your answers.

  4. After all rounds are complete, there can be only one winner. If we need to, it will go into a tie breaker round.

  5. For those familiar with our trivia, we will not be doing our typical prizes, but promise it will won’t make it any less fun.

GeekCLE Trivia is best suited for adults. There tends to be some adult language and themes.

Individual or team.

You can join in as an individual or as a team. If you are are joining as a team, you will need to do some planning on your end to figure out the logistics. That might look like a group phone call or another meeting service that can run outside of Zoom (which is the platform being used for remote Trivia).

You will need one person submitting your answers on behalf of your team.

Keep in mind that the $5 minimum donation still stands for each team member.

Feeling generous?

If you are able to donate more than the registration donation amount of $5, we would like to say thanks. Just send over your receipt or screenshot. Help us make a larger impact!

$25 Write a joke that we will tell
$50 A ceremonial individual thank you during Trivia
$100 Write a trivia question
